This is a picture of me a few hours before I went into the hospital. We went in about 6pm Friday night July 22nd. Being my third baby I was positive I was in labor...around 7pm I was sent home! I was really mad, and poor Cory had to deal with that aftermath. He took me out to dinner and we went home. At 12:20 that night my water broke! Contractions were coming strong and close together. We jumped out of bed, and Cory called his dad Carl who rushed over to stay with the kids. We got to the hospital around 1am and I was taken right back. The labor went so well and we welcomed Everett William into the world at 4:51am Saturday morning July 23rd. One day before my due date and Cory's birthday. He was perfect! 8lbs. 4oz. and 20in.
So far he is the sweetest baby. He reminds us a lot of when CJ was a baby, but he looks like his sister too.
CJ and Genevieve cannot get enough of their new baby brother, which is cute...and overwhelming sometimes. Wherever Everett goes, they go. I'm happy they love him!
Cory has been able to take the week off which has been so wonderful! He was a little disappointed that they don't share a birthday, but hey it just means two days of celebrating!
CJ is such a good helper! If he leaves the room he always tells me, "Mom, if you need anything, I will come and get it for you". How sweet is that?
Gen loves the baby but is having a little bit of a hard time not being the baby anymore. We're trying to make sure we don't forget about the two wonderful kids we already have! And so cute!
Everyone keeps asking me if it was worth not finding out. It definitely was fun, especially during those last weeks of pregnancy. The anticipation helped me pass the time. And when the moment came it was fun being surprised! But honestly in the moment I forgot that we didn't know beforehand. I was so excited to meet our new son! That's all that really mattered was him arriving healthy and happy. We couldn't be happier with Everett and the rest of our beautiful family! The only thing I need now is sleep!:)
