Backyard

I forgot to post some pictures of our backyard! Thanks to the help of Cory's parents, we finally got our border done around the grass. I took this before they were completely done, but you get the general idea. Plus its dark outside right now, and we all know if I don't post this now it might never happen:)

It was done by Gen's bday party, but I didn't take any pictures of it. I'm so grateful Cory worked so hard to get it done. Thanks to the help of our parents also!

Summer 2012

June started with a date to Wicked. Then we had swim lessons, and lots of family visiting.

Everett is so sweet and fun. I can't imagine life without him.

I had two sisters visit from Arkansas, and they have 12 kids between the two of them. So yes, these are ALL cousins! There are 23 all together, and the oldest is 12! The kids love their cousins. It was a crazy few weeks, but it went by way too fast.

The closer he got to 1yr old the bossier he became. But handsome as ever!

If you look closely you can see Everett trying to squeeze through the chairs.  I had to set up a barricade so I could mop, and he still got through.

This picture is missing Kahle, my nephew who is two weeks older than Everett. But my sister Lisa and sister-in-law Mia's boys are two more of the cute kids our family has been blessed with.

We had so many kids, that we took our party to the church building, and my parents rented this slide. It was awesome!

All of the cousins have so much fun together. We were so sad when they had to go home.  Now who is Gen going to catch frogs with?

In July we had Everett and Cory's birthdays. Only one day apart.

I've never been so sad to see one of my babies turn one. I'm happy he's healthy and growing-but it's going so fast!

See how big he is!?!
We got to go to Lake Tahoe right before school. This is Gen and her adorable cousin Olivia.

Speaking of big...Miss Genevieve started preschool in August. She loves it.

And CJ started KINDERGARTEN! Talk about time going by fast.  I may or may not have gotten a little misty when we dropped him off on his first day. This is the only picture he would let us take. In his classroom I told him, "Okay, are you ready for us to go?" and he answered, "YES!" and never looked back. He already had a girlfriend by the second day too!
Everett could ride in this thing all day. When he sees anyone in the backyard, he bangs on the door and throws a fit if he can't go out.
We finished off August by finishing phase 5 of 7 in our backyard. Thanks in huge part to Cory's parents and my dad who helped!

We even put these two to work!
Then there was Genevieve's 4th Birthday Party...
It was an Ariel theme. When she saw Ariel on the cake she was so excited, and then mad when she couldn't take her off right away.

Special thanks to Jenn who helped me with this! it turned out perfect!

Genna doesn't look happy in this picture, but everyone was looking at her and that's why she has that expression. I saw a shirt that describes her perfectly..."I'm not shy, I just don't like you." Ha ha! Exactly!

This little guy loved the cake too!

We did her party on Saturday, so this was on her real birthday. She said, "I knew there would be doughnuts!"
I guess I'm predictable:)

All ready for a fun birthday. In her Rapunzel dress.  I love this little girl so much! She definitely keeps me on my toes!
We have had a great summer, and a busy start to the new school year. CJ is playing soccer, and Cory is taking more classes to work on his Master's in Tax. At least we are busy with good things. I feel very blessed!

Disneyland 2012!!!

We had a great May! It started with CJ turning 5! He wanted a nutcracker cake...seriously. And even though my nutcracker looked a little bit more like a gingerbread man, he loved it. We went to chuck-e-cheese to celebrate.

Then a few days after his birthday, we went to Disneyland for 7 days! It was perfect weather and so much fun! We had some company along the way-which made it even better.
Everett was at a hard age to bring (10 months-not walking), but he did great!

Last time we were here I was pregnant, so I wanted to ride everything. I took CJ on Tower of Terror, and let's just say that this is the "before" picture. Ha ha!
Lucky for us we had this awesome stroller, that Cory got me for Christmas. It pretty much saved the day. Everett could crawl around and play, or lay down and sleep. He was in here a lot, but he didn't mind. We had so many people ask about the stroller I felt like I could have been a rep and sold them. Its a schwinn bike trailer/stroller.

We often had all three in the stroller, when CJ got tired:)

Not sure where Cory's mom is in this picture, but even she and Cory's dad were willing to sport the shirts I made for the trip. I know its cheesy, but its a tradition-and I love it!

My dad ducked out of this picture, but Everett is happily sucking on a rib bone that Grandma gave him. It kept him happy for a long time. Everett loves both his grandmas!!!

One of the many character pictures!

See...Everett wasn't in the stroller the WHOLE time.

What a crew! Such cute kids!
We went with family, and I consider those family members some of my best friends. And the kids feel the same!
My brother even got us a ride on the LillyBelle...it was so cool!

Ready to meet some princesses.

I love experiencing Disneyland through my kids eyes.

By the end of the week we were ready to go home-but it was such a great time!
